Review by Bob_Loblaw
Disease kicks off the show and gets jammed out. It goes into a nice little bliss jam that I enjoy and goes perfectly back into the Disease outro. Farmhouse has a pretty solid solo. Then bam another jam! A pretty rare 1st set jam sandwich as Gin kicks in. It takes a few minutes for the guys to sink their teeth into this jam but once they do it grows more and more pretty by the second. It takes a corner and builds some tension with a nice little groove as Trey hacks away and mike holds it down. Wolfman has a nice funk jam in it's center. And although the YEM is pretty standard to close the 1st set, what an amazing way to end this set.
Sample opens set two on a odd tone. Maze follows and is pretty straightforward. Free starts out strong and as Mike lays down the groove section, Trey jumps on his keyboard and things get a little weirder. It all seems to work and the audience seems to dig it as they join in clapping. After a break with Dirt Reba kicks in. Another odd placement. It is another fairly straightforward version, but is stretched out a bit longer than usual. And the boys seem to be fully linked up for the peak at the end of it. Halley's Comet is pretty standard (especially after the one before it). The rest of the show does fall under the average setlist. Suzy Closes and you get Frankenstein and Rocky top as an encore.
Overall I like this show. It has a lot of improv to offer and some nice cool down songs sandwiched between.
