And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
I was also confused by some of the funny math. I know it takes effort and energy to recap a show here but take a moment to review and edit next time for accuracy and clarity. You mention the touching moment during sample and doing the math about how many times your friends had seen it played but don’t finish the thought…how many samples have they seen together. Further, saying, “I’ll allow it,” when people were singing a long during Sample!? Came across as a little pompous. Should fans not sing a long to the music? Not sure I needed to know that you had urine on your pants or about juices flowing inwardly vs outwardly. Maybe you were going for that unfiltered type of perspective but it didn’t really land that way. Lastly I don’t agree with the need to throw encore songs into the second set to extend it.
Overall, It was hard to get passed some of this stuff for me. Appreciate the effort in putting the review together.
